We bought - R72 000 worth of equipment for my wife's new hair salon in December 2012 from Hair Health and Beauty. We used a local lady/company to buy the equipment (we are in Amanzimtoti, HH&B in Gauteng), although we paid the money directly into HH&B's account. When plugging in our 3 vibrating chairs for the washing basins (only mid-March when we opened), 2 weren't working. The lady who bought the equipment phoned HH&B and they said she must send it back up to Gauteng at her own cost (we are in Amanzimtoti). Obviously she isn't happy with that and I phoned HH&B. When trying to explain my problem I was flatly told that the issue wouldn't be discussed with me. Meanwhile we are sitting with 2 chairs that aren't working/never worked (they do have a 6-month warranty though) and the poor lady we bought it through is going to lose about R1500 to send the chairs back, although it has never worked. Also, a showerhead 'exploded' when opening the tap but she was also told that isn't covered by a warranty. Wanting to open a 2nd salon pretty soon I don't think I will be buying from Hair Health and Beauty again. Quality is questionable and their attitude apathetic.
