I run an online store and shipped an order to a customer in Durban via the Hatfield Post Office in Pretoria on Saturday, 04 May 2013. My customer contacted me on Thursday, 09 May 2013, to say "..MY BOX ARRIVED HERE THIS MORNING DAMAGED AND OPEN .I HAD TO GO DOWN TO THE POST OFFICE AND IT WAS PLACED IN A PLASTIC BAG THERE STATING IT WAS DAMAGED. THERE WERE SEVERAL COMICS MISSING.." The parcel was shipped as an insured parcel.
The parcel tracking number was PA360409674ZA.
As my parcel arrived damaged and with some of the goods missing, I want to claim compensation based on the value of the goods.
