I am writing obo my aunt of 78 years, Miss C J Swart, who is a pensioner and cannot speak for years now, due to throat cancer. MBG started sending her accounts re her SABC tv licence. The initial amount was R400 I think which later escalated to R 825 at which stage her sister ( also a pensioner)made an arrangement to settle the account. After the R825 was settled they are now being harassed by call centre staff, with telephonic threats for an additional R 50 which is apparently interest that accumulated whilst she paid off the R825 ( paid in 5 instalments). How is this possible? After a specific arrangement was made?
It is useless to try and speak to someone other than a call centre agent, even if you do phone a different number available on their website.I think they are merciless and the management should know how they harass a pensioner. Thanks Karen Hudson
