My SABC licence account got handed over to MBD Attorneys for collection purposes since I had stopped paying. I acknowledged the account and committed to ensuring that it is paid accordingly. I made an arrangement for monthly payment in excess of the normal rate. While I was consistently paying my account through an automated stop order, MBD gave me a deal to pay an amount of R476.00 within a certain period during Nov 2012. They further promised that my account would be settled and that I would be expected to maintain the tv licence account with SABC. I made the payment as requested on 27 Nov 2012 into an FNB account, quoting my SABC acc number as my reference. the payment was followed by countless irritating calls with agents demanding that I make monthly payments. I had to explain the arrangements to each one of them with nothing being done. I eventually spoke to a team manager named Donald Ngwenya who requested i forward him my proof of payment, which I must have sent more than twice already. To this day I continue to be harassed by MBD agents with their calls. the last one told me she's got nothing to do with the arrangement and that I must just pay the account.
