I bought a property at Alphen Estates, Boksburg, and signed for it on the 14th April. I paid cash for the flat and used our pension money. I was assured that the deal would go through quickly as it was a cash deal. However the firm of attorneys partner left the country in December and up to now my bond could not be registered as the firm is trying with the Master's office to get a new man registered as the executor of the Estate. The property I bought was from a deceased estate. The firm knew when the partner left in December that someone else should be appointed as Executor but to date, they still have not registered anyone and they are now telling me that it takes over 5 month's to get a new member of their firm to get registered as the Executor. In the meanwhile my money is losing value as I will only get what they put into an account at a nominal interest rate. I will be receiving at least R7000 per month as rental money. I spoke to Dave Freeman and he said that they are waiting for the master to appoint a new Executor. This should have been done when their partner left in December.
