We (my sister and I) built two websites with Webhouse 2 years ago. We were drawn in by great promises of an amazing service and even given a "special" rate if we both joined. We both have small businesses and paid a hefty fee to get started with them, as well as a monthly fee plus huge extra costs if you had over a certain number of people looking at your site. Since inquiring at other web companies that offer the same service, I found out that they are way over the average rate to host a website. I ran a competition on my website in September last year and was billed with an amount of nearly R 1000 for that month. Their service is slow, unprofessional and definitely not worth the money that you pay monthly. They do not reply to email, phone calls, complaints and do as little as possible if a problem does arise (1 hour free help/assistance is included in the monthly fee) and only if it will bring in more money do they jump at the opportunity to help. If you are wanting to build your own website I would suggest avoiding Webhouse at all costs as their contract also traps you for 3 years.
