I visited their website and clicked on a couple of "auctions" more out of curiosity than anything else. I was then informed that I had won a small appliance on an auction and must provide my card details. Wippy then proceeded to deduct R500 from my credit card and said that I had subscribed for a monthly subscription. I cancelled my subscription immediately and demanded repayment of my money however this request was rejected. I informed them that they were contravening the Consumer Protection Act they did not except and it would seem they do not apply the mandatory cooling off period. They claimed I had been using the monthly subscription already when I asked them for proof they could not provide it. Everybody out there this WEBSITE IS MANAGED BY PEOPLE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE IN COMPLYING WITH THE LAW. T Their latest trick is to put little labels over every website that clicks through to their website ignore these at all costs!
