Extremely bad attitude at The Cradle Restaurant

I drive out to the restaurant with my partner last Sunday (21 April) for a nice lunch. My partner used the smoke machine to buy cigarettes, but the machine was faulty and swallowed her money. A complaint was made with the manager but we were told it isn't the restaurants problem. This is unacceptable. This establishment is allowing its customers access to a faulty machine without a warning and then tells said customer that its their tough luck when the machine fails.
We drove out from Joburg to pay R600 for a lunch for two and get treated like it is our fault the machine doesn't work.
No apology, nothing.
It is simply unprincipled to not take responsibility for items in your establishment.
When I intervened and called the manager he said he would see what he could do, then proceeded to hide away and I didn't see him again.
The solution was they give me back the R30 that we lost in the machine or I take it off my bill owed for lunch.
(At this stage my partner had lost her appetite and our lunch had been ruined).

A clearly disgusting attitude by an establishment that is increasingly over-priced and underserviced. That manager needs to go back to school.
