My two children were admitted last week due to Gastro Roto virus. The day staff were great, friendly and caring towards a 3 and 5 year old needs. The night staff on the other hand were a disaster. Miserable, unhelpful, unprofessional and clearly not in the right profession. They just do not care. We ended up in arguments about everything and they still were rude. The way 2 of the the night nurses handled the our youngest child was unessarily rough, and didn't really care that we were unhappy with her level of care towards a 3 year old. Changing soiled bed linen was requested where we eventually had to do it our selves after 3 requests and then still waited 30 minutes, and they are literally 7 metres away from the her room. The price we pay for private medical care and what we received through the night staff. Antoinette in the paediatrics ward really saved the day with her outstanding service and care giving towards out children, it was so obvious that she has a passion towards this career she has chosen...
