My 9 year old daughter was admitted to Wilgeheuwel Hospital for an emergency appendectomy. I absolutely MUST compliment the following medical team for their outstanding attitude and service. The surgeon, Dr Booyse, who came in especially on his day off to attend my daughter in the most caring, sincere manner. His beautiful heart matched his faultless bedside manner. Dr Liebenberg, the anaethetist who treated my terrified little girl like a beloved grand-child, who held her hand and walked her into the theatre because she was too scared to be wheeled in on the bed. A precious person and SUCH a caring heart. Sister Nelien and Sister Elize in paediatric ward were outstanding in their personal care and attention to my child. I have NEVER experienced such excellent service in a hospital. From admissions officers who rallied around to get medical aid stuff sorted to the most junior nursing staff in the paediatric ward. The theatre staff were also amazing. I was kept updated throughout the night of my daughter's progress and I was granted permission to spend most of the night with my child. Thank you so much to everyone who took care for my daughter. You were just fantastic!!!
