Pathetic Service from Hosmed Medical Aid

I took my son to his paediatrician on the 13/04/2013 as he suffers from Asthma, upon receiving the prescribtion
from the doctor, I went to the Pharmacy they said that they cannot help me as my medical aid has listed my membership on waiting period.

Upon contacting the medical aid they told me that my membership has been suspended from the 1st of March 2013. The reason being that I owe fees dating back to 2012 January. I had not been contacted to be made aware of the suspension or any monies owing to them, this was the first time I heard about it. I do not understand how they wait for more than a year to pass in order for them to suspend your membership or claim money.

Why was my contribution for the end of March taken when they suspended my medical aid on the 1st already. I should get that money back, because that means I paid for something I do not have, to make it worse, I did not even know.

I spoke to (Carol Mazibuco & Pindile) I told them I wanted to cancel Hosmed, they said I have to pay all fees before cancelling. I e-mailed a letter to Claire Schoeman from Hosmed, she said that I could cancel, and she would confirm cancellation but she has since not replied to me.
