On 16 Sept. 2013, I had a telephonic conversation with Ms Morongwe from Hosmed. Conversation No 83876654 was provided. I am a Hosmed Plus member - membership no 91153725. I was in the Poortview Wellness Clinic from 26 Feb to 18 March 2013 (21 days) treated for Major Depression Disorder (F32.2). An illness requiring 21 days treatment
Dr J Kahler Practice No 022 000 0229431 several times tried to recover the outstanding amount of R3887.50 for three days not covered by the fund. The reasons provided was that the fund is depleted. I was never informed by Hosmed that the fund was depleted or that I should leave the clinic. The three days Hosmed are referring to are in the middle of the hospitalisation period.
Ms Morngwe indicated that there was no paper trail - Something hard to believe since dr Kahler on several occations reported the matter. I once again forwarded Hosmed Dr Kahler's motivational letter and the outstanding account. Due to the matter so long overdue I made two payments to Dr Kahler of R1000.00 each (Aug and Sept) to restore my dignity and being able to meet with him once again in October 2013.
