Missing wedding bands

On the 2/4/13 l was admitted at Sunninghill Hospital. When l got to the theatre the Sunninghill member of staff who was accompanying me to theatre noted that l still had my wedding bands on. She then told me to remove them & give them to her for safe keeping. Upon my return from the operation l told my husband that he should get my wedding bands from security. Security was called in just before mid nite and it was discovered that the rings were missing. At this stage a senior member of the security team was called in & a statement was taken down. The staff member in question was called in & asked to locate where they had put the rings as they were not in the safe and she failed to do so. Pip Kruger, the Client Liason Officer and Robert Hospital General Manager confirmed and agreed that the hospital was now liable for the replacement of my jewellery as per the circumstances leading to tthe loss. To date my rings have NOTbeen replaced nor compensated for by Sunninghill Hospital. l have been taken from pillar to post & back & have been left with no choice but to replace my own wedding bands of 14 years at my own cost and had to endure the comments from colleagues over my empty finger.
