On the 7th of March 2013 I went in for an endoscopy at Morningside Mediclinic. Before that day l got pre-authorization from Discovery and the hospital had advised me that l should pay a core payment of R2, 300 on admission. I queried why Discovery wasn't supposed to pay for that and l was given some long silly story so l spoke with Discovery and sort their assistance in making that payment for me. They also told me another silly story and ended up telling me that l should pay the amount and then claim from them, which l eventually did. Now comes the chaos, my claim wasn't settled and Discovery advised me that Morningside Mediclinic had claimed for the same amount and been paid. I went to Morningside Mediclinic and they told me they did not claim the R2, 300. Discovery continues to say they did and that l need to sort it out with them. Now seeing that l am a member of Discovery shouldn't those guys just sort this mess and stop wasting my time? What kind of customer service is this? Its been over a month now and l still haven't been paid. Why doesn't someone own up and settle this rather ridiculous issue. Surely this is nothing but pathetic and l am very disappointed by all this!!!
