On the 7th of March l went for an endoscopy at Morningside Mediclinic. Before that l got my pre-adminission authorization from Discovery and Morningside Mediclinic advised me that I should pay a core payment of R2, 300 upon admission. I tried to get Discovery to pay this amount but some very silly story was dished to me and they insisted that l would be able to claim the money back. I paid R2, 300 for the core payment and claimed it from Discovery. i was advised that Morningside Mediclinic had also claimed for the same amount and hence my claim was turned down and l was advised to talk to Morningside Mediclinic. Went there and was told they didnt claim the money. So over a month has gone by and l have not received my money back. Is this the kind of service that people should expect from Discovery Health? This is very disappointing to say the least. Right now l dont even know who to talk to anymore and l certainly could do with my hard earned money!!!
