After being booked into hospital for a week for meningitis, discovery now doesn't want to pay my claim, and the hospital wants to blacklist me for non-payment.
Suspected meningitis is a pmb condition which has to be paid and if the doctor books me in for it, then discovery needs to pay for it by law.
It's been 3 weeks and the hospital phoned me today and now wants me to pay otherwise they'll blacklist me for non-payment. I was under the impression that everything was sorted out between the hospital and discovery. When I was checked out of hospital they said they'll send everything to discovery so I don't have to worry about it.
I phoned discovery and they haven't approved the payment yet and they are holding a meeting to decide whether they'll pay or not... no urgency whatsoever (no regard for the fact that i'll get blacklisted because they are taking there sweet time "deciding") I had to phone in and escalate it to get any movement on this.
Discovery has the audacity to tell me to phone THEM back to hear if it's approved.
This just needs to be paid asap before i'm blacklisted.
