Discovery refuse to give preauthorisation numbe

I made a appointment with a Specialist who knows my medical history as he did the operation in 2008, on my stomach. I saw Dr on the 20th March 2013, having severe stomach pain and cannot eat or drink anything for the last two weeks. Dr suggested to do a Gastro scopy. I contacted Discovery Health for the preauthorisation number on seing the DR, as I had to go to a Clinic on Friday 22nd March 2013, at 12H00.The consultant that attended to my call said she had to forward the preauthorisation to another Department, and I should phone back on Friday morning. I contacted Discovery 7 times on Friday 22nd March 2013, and still no preauthorisation number. I asked Roxanne who works at Discovery what would happen if i had to have a heart attack would Discovery pay i was told bluntly NO, it would be for my own account. There are members on Discovery that on the application form but they get authorisation numbers for hospital treatment, but it is people like us that don't lie, that has to suffer one cannot tell your body when to get ill. There are no exclusions or waiting period on my medical aid. It is 4 working days later and still no reply from Discovery what do they care.
