I urge people to stay away from Emperors Palace if planning a wedding. We had a lovely day regardless of these mishaps. But they delivered nothing as promised. Some key notes of the day on the bad servicing and unbelievable nonsense that occurred;
- Aircon did not work for the entire evening, myself, guests kept asking the waiters to make it cooler as at some stages the temp in the room was well over 30 degrees. For some reason, these never came on, room got hotter and hotter and made it very uncomfortable for everyone. Aircons in rooms next to us were perfect though.
- The Party Packs we bought for the children never came out, we asked numerous times over and over and they were never brought out, only to be given to us the next day with the flowers, a complete waste and a let-down for the kids.
- The starters were served on the table at 18h00, this before the bridal party had actually arrived at the reception.
- The water ran out on the night, and we were being charged for the 330ml bottles but only receiving the 200ml bottles. Then the waiters were bringing jugs of water from who knows where.
