The resort is advertised as a 4 star luxury resort. When reading this in the South African context you would compare the resort to the likes of Kievits Kroon in the area which also boasts a 4 star rating. Firstly this is the first accomodation establishment that has requested full payment before even arriving at the resort. We were attending a wedding in the area and since the rest of the wedding party were staying at the resort we decided to stay there as well. There was no managment or reception at the resort when we arrived and obtained our keys to the rooms from the security guards. The restuarant on-site's food was well below par which a number of us having upset stomachs on the day of the wedding. The kitchen also ran out of burger buns and eventually served a burger on pieces of bread. The rooms were although tidy, extremely outdated and dirty. During the peak of summer there was no aircon in the rooms and we were provided with a fan for comfort at this 4 star luxury resort. Also for 2 consecutive days there was no hot water in our room and the cleaning staff didnt seem too perturbed by the fact. The pools in the resort that had water also were extremely dirty.
