I went for a flu vaccine at a pharmacy and my medical aid was rejected because I'm on prime cure (Pulse 1), now I had to pay cash. And I was told that they do not accept prime cure. In your letter dated 07 February 2013 I quote" You may obtain the vaccine from any pharmacy or general practitioner", "Please present this letter to your service provider requesting the vaccine". This pharmacy falls under any pharmacy as stated in your letter and even upon producing the letter still my medical aid was rejected.
I have reached way over boiling point with this option whereas I am paying every single month and not even once skipped a payment yet incurring additional costs. This is not the first incident whereby I had to pay for services in cash.
I want to change an option and I can't wait for a period of making changes because I am way over frustrated and extremely unhappy. If I have to struggle this much in Gauteng over this prime cure network rubbish how much more will I struggle when I am in kwaNdebele! Therefore, I believe that by now betsmed is well aware that this prime cure option is not a good one if it fails me while I am in Gauteng, how about extending to other provinces.
