As an (ex) Nimas member, i have nothing but problems since December last year. I was first hit with a 16% premium increase for my family (2 2) then when trying to move to the "hospital plan" faced with a Spine and neck injury exclusion. ( my wife has ongoing neck degeneration and has had 3 fusions)- I am thus "forced" stayed on the Classic plan
I am now (today) trying to claim monthly meds (for the first time this year) and cannot do so. kept waiting in my usual pharmacy over an hour. the system says i do not have any acute meds benefit when i have over R9000.00 available. when medication is put through as "acute " it seems to identify the request as "Chronic"?? The resomed call centre operators confirm this and then request the pharmacist contact Medicredit with the reject code. Still nothing gets resolved as one is passed form pillar to post and no one has "authority " to resolve these problems. I still do not have my medication.
I have a long history of correspondence with resomed now since 7 December. I am dealing with over 8 people in the organisation and now seem to have to resort to Hellopeter" to voice my grievances. it would seem i am not alone in this problem.
