How can a scheme be financially sound if they have to look for excuses not to honor a R300.00 for routine blood tests?
What does it help to have benefits if you do not pay the accounts anyway. I am registered with the scheme as diabetic but my routine PMB blood test (HBA1C) has been rejected because they require a copy of the blood request!!! I annually go for a CA 125 test due to high risk but suddenly this year it got rejected requiring a motivation. Please - I am saving you money - should I rather go to the specialist and have a sonar done??? Who will pay for the drs charge to write the motivation letter because you are sure not going to do it. I do not have time to entertain this, my next complaint will be to the council of medical schemes.
