At approximately 01h56 AM on the 9th of Jan 2022 I had accompanied my husband to the hospital as he was running a fever but prior to this had a racing heart beat.
Upon entry we had to completed our info despite how he was feeling and he walked himself to the Casualty Ward.By the time I had arrived a sister/nurse was attending to him (the usual checks they do) but before I could even reach my husband to see if he was ok, the front receptionist who was on duty with Oliver (and note how she was not wearing her name badge) was so rude to me! Not a "Hello" or "Hi Mam, please come this side" "please come and give us your details here"... I received a harsh, cold and loud, "Come this side! ". I had even said I'm with my husband and again her response, "Come this side! ". She didn't even assist me when I approached the front desk. I was assisted by Oliver who hardly made any professional attempts to be warmer and did not have any eye contact with me!? This is very upsetting and disturbing since they are healthcare professionals and being sensitive to others during panic and stressful situations, they should atleast know how to be more receptive towards others. If they have not been taught how to be kind, atleast try to be a working professional. People skills, sympathy, understanding and care especially in the medical field should be a MUST! You should be ashamed of yourself, and sadly, I know you couldn't care less! Linmed Hospital, I urge you to please investigate this matter and address it. You cannot have employees like this, whilst you some other wonderful employees it is unfortunately employees like her that give this hospital a bad rep. When it comes to lives it's not just a job, this should be your passion and higher calling of service towards others. If you don't possess these attributes you should do something where you do not have to deal with people on a daily basis. To the rude woman, I picked my battle. My husband was my concern but to you I say because I don't think anyone has ever told you this... go fix yourself, heal yourself so that you can be a blessing and delight to others. I'll pray for you because you are hurting. Only people who are hurting on the inside hurt and lash out at others. Please self-reflect!
