Good Day,

I gave notice to cancel our Bonitas membership at the end of December 2013 and asked for the membership to be terminated at the end of Jan 2014. I made my payment for January in December as an EFT (I have been using EFT as a payment method because Bonitas decided to remove my Debit order details due to system issues in 2013 and just never added it again).

Early January 2014 I started receiving sms's stating that I haven't made a payment for January. I then called into the call centre and after a painful discussion was told to send the proof of payment and that a few members were affected by yet another system fault. I sent the p[roof of payment.

I now need to prove to my new medical aid provider that I had cover until the end of Jan 2014 but the certificate from Bonitas shows that it was terminated at the end of December 2013. I called in yesterday but as usual I need to wait 3 - 5 working days.

Your systems are really a joke and I am so glad that I am moving back to a medical aid that know how to use their systems and respond within 1-2 working days or on the same day if you call in.

It is sad that a person needs to resort to Hello peter to escalated an issue
