My family and I enjoyed a relaxing stay at Lake view on Vaal after Christmas 2013 from 27 - 03 January 2014 but never expected to be cheated out of our deposit of R800. Needless to stay our privacy was regularly invaded with Bronwyn 1 of the owners walking into the unit without knocking, bringing us door stoppers because she felt the sound of the wind banging a door was too irritating for her liking and walking into bedrooms whilst the guests are getting dressed. on our 1st day whilst warming up some milk in the ancient no named microwave it blew. Flames came out of the microwave about 30 min after our arrival. she replaced microwave quite readily with another ancient one, which she noted and sent it to the workshop. After checkout we were refunded with R450 of our deposit. We paid R220 or usage of the jacuzzi, R250 for electricity (which meant we recharged R50 worth of units every single day) and R100 to repair the microwave! Who does this? Who charges for repairs of your old ancient basic amenities which you provide to customers! I have NEVER IN MY LIFE ENCOUNTERED GUESTS PAYING FOR AMENITIES. They are cheats. DO NOT ever go to Lake view on Vaal, ever.
