Heaven on Vaal Not recommended for a quiet weekend away. Upon arrival the unit was not as elegant as the photos on the web, it had no TV, it was smelly, the oven was broken, bedding was dirty, dustbins weren't emptied and bath had a deep crack in. The rules stipulate that no noise could be made after 11h00 at night. Guests arrived and made noise until 2am in the morning. We phoned to complain about the guests at 1 am in the morning and the employee didn't answer her phone. The bed I slept on squeaked and the unit was so hot it was uncomfortable to sleep. We couldn't open the windows because of small biting insects and smoke of the braai above us. At 6am the guests blew up a mattress, assembled a gazebo, launched their noisy boat and screamed, we again phoned the employee and she didn't answer her phone. We wanted to move to another unit, but the only one left was not up to standard and didn't have a view of the river. The employee said that we will loose all our money because it is part of terms and conditions (that we never were aware of or signed). The owner had excuses for everything. Although I lost my money at least I can warn other consumers.
