I went to the Intercare branch in Glen Marais to see if I needed to get braces the receptionist said that I would get a quote which I would give to my medical aid to see if they would pay for the procedure. I then went to see the Dr and he said that I needed braces, he then immediately put the braces in. I left and they billed me almost R5000 for the braces, I even had to pay in because my medical aid did not cover the rate they were charging. After a month or so they started billing my medical aid 959.00 a month sometimes twice a month on dates that I went to see the Dr and dates that I didn't go to the practice at all. They also made me pay for certain procedures in cash and they double billed my medical aid. When I phoned them the receptionist said that she gave me a quotation in my hand, which I never received at all!! I'm not a person that complains but this is ridiculous these people are taking patients for a ride with these ridiculous rates and charges. This is against the law and I hope that people read this do not make the same mistake I made, and go to Intercare because all they care about is ripping you off and taking your money!!
