A receptionist captured my birthdate incorrectly on Intercare's system. Medical aid declined two claims because of incorrect birthdate. I received two accounts for my settlement, called Intercare immediately, spoke to Practice Manager, she assured me it would be corrected and re-submitted to medical aid. Received the same two accounts a month later, still not settled. Phoned practice manager AGAIN, she responded that she did fix the details and will sort it out, I don't have to worry about the accounts. One account has now been paid by the medical aid, but the other is still outstanding since the claim is now TOO OLD to be re-submitted to the medical aid. I am now being held responsible for payment because of an administrative mistake made by Intercare. They will never see me again.
