I would just like to put on record the absolutely awful service we experienced at the above B & B over the Dec/Jan 2014 period:
Room not stocked with basics
Room not cleaned daily
Breakfasts were a nightmare - we gave up having the breakfast
Owner promised better service each day which never happened
Lack of privacy - the internal key to our room was not on our side of the door and we had the Owners son coming into our room
Owners son scratched my sisters car
The final straw was when we were all of a sudden- accused of stock from the B&B i.e. rusks (which we gave to the children when the Owner was not around to serve breakfast) asking for too much toilet paper. Once this accusation was sent to us we immediately packed up and left as we were very nervous.
Laundry was removed from our room without permission - we had to leave it in Port Alfred as we were too afraid to go in and demand it.
We have been harassed ever since with threats of police etc
Originally presented with a revised bill including extra R2300 for elec and food?? B&B.. today it is a R7, 000 bill.
The bottom line is - I would not recommend anyone booking a stay at Port O Call - it was too stressful!
