Spec-savers Sa
Poor Service at City View

In Jan 2013 I got a new glasses. 2 months down the line the frame of the glasses started to peel off and I had the disappointment of having to take them back for replacement. 5-6 months down the line my eyes started straining and itching whenever I am using them. I took eye drops thinking it was dry eyes but never improved. So i decided to suspend putting on the glasses to see if they are the once causing the problem and indeed i went for a month without the glasses and had no issues and problem returned whenever I tried to use them. I phoned and went to the shop and was given an appointment. When i went to the shop my slot was double booked, after much negotiation I was allowed in at the right time. The optician said I needed a full eye test and cant do a re-check. Ofcourse medical aid will not pay within a year, so I have to pay for the new eye test and new lenses. I suspect the script was wrong from the onset and spec savers should have done re-check on their cost to correct that. I have to look for a new optician as i will not pay spec savers to fix their error in my opinion. I am disappointed with the service!!!
