I cancelled my medical aid at the beginning of Dec 2013 and was assured that a debit order would not go off in Jan. Surprise Surprise the debit order went off with the increased rate for 2014.

I immediately phoned Bonitas and was told that because they did not process my cancellation in time they did not have enough time to let the banks know not to take the debit order off, how there slow turnaround time is my problem I am yet to understand.

I have now phoned Bonitas four times, first on the 2nd then the 7th, the 14th and now again this morning. When I called on the 7th I was assured the refund would be done in five working days, so on the 14th I phoned again to confirm when the refund would be done and was told they are waiting on signatures to release the payment. This morning when I phoned I was told they can not give me a turnaround time as to when they will refund MY money.

I started a new medical aid on the first of January and had to pay my membership fee for that as well as have money taken off my account in error by your incompetent company.

Please can you give me more clarity as to when you will refund MY money which you took off my account without authorization..
