I contacted Discovery this morning due to an emergency with one of our employees' pregnant wife. She had started bleeding and needed urgent medical attention. The employee did not have his medical aid reference number due to the application being delayed by the brokerage for some reason. I spoke to Ryan Putter just after AM this morning, he was well-spoken, friendly and very sprightly for such an early morning call. He was simply brilliant! He immediately understood the urgency of the matter, made sure to manage my expectations asking me to "hold, because he'd rather resolve the matter for me than transferring me from pillar to post". Within a reasonable amount of time had arranged a temporary authorisation number, all while keeping our staff member updated on his cellphone throughout the process. Pretoria East hospital was contacted to explain the situation and she was safely delivered into a specialist's hands. What a flawless client experience! I am a Discovery client myself and after this experience, will certainly remain one for life! THANK YOU RYAN! You were amazing! I hope Discovery knows the value of an employee like you!
