We were at the Eiland on Saturday, when a friend of mine was attacked by some. We were only 2 guys and 3 ladies and therefore decided to let it be and leave. We were only there for not even an hour and us paying R79, we went to the gate and asked for our money back. The lady at the gate was so arrogant and rude! She said that she will not give us our money back and when we said that we were going to speak to a superior, she arrogantly said "go ahead". The Eiland is suppose to be patroled at all times by the Stellenbosch Law Enforcement as it falls under the Municipality, but yet no security was visible. We waited at the gate for 15 min and then left and only on our way out, another 10 min, the Law Enforcement officers drove past us. How can someone be so arrogant with no remorse what so ever. The Eiland is also not one of the most hygienic when it comes to their bathroom facilities. The ladies bathroom looks continuosly like you will get infection. According to them by the gate the bathroom has been fixed, but it still looked the same to me. Normally they employ people to clean at all times. I want my money back and an apology! Where was the security? Please advise asap!!!
