On 20 April 2013 i was taken up in the emergency room and was treated for asthma. I received a bill of R1028.20 which was fully paid by my medical aid. They also covered my bill for the patholagist which was R1055.22 and also fully covered by my medical aid. I did not hear from them again or received any other statements from them. On the 24 May 2013, my son was taken up in hospital, but because my medical aid was exhausted i went on private and paid the hospital bill which was R646.82 and the xray dept whose account was R457.00. On the 7 June I received a call from Claremont Hospital and them man who called claimed that the medical aid did not cover my son's bill, i then told him that I paid cash and he told me he was not aware that i paid cash and went private. Both Clearemont hospital and the xray dept Dr Morton & Partners assured taht i will receive my statement in the post in two weeks time, Up to today i never received any statement form them on the 13 June 2013 I receive an account from ER Cosultants to the amount of R487.50 for my son Aadam who was not even taken up in hospital for that period. They also claim the R100 fee which is paid cash on arrival from the medical aid.
