Spec-savers Sa
A Highly Frustrating Experience

On 19/12/2013 I went to Spec-Savers in Canal Walk, as my specs were broken. I was told it could not be fixed, so I did an eye test and chose new frames. This went smoothly. However, because it meant I would have to live with broken specs for a few days, they told the factory to produce it urgently for the coming Tuesday - Christmas Eve.
Come Tuesday, I phoned the branch at around 3pm. The woman I spoke to asked for my surname AND first name. I even spelled out my first name in case it wasn't clear. She told me the specs were ready for collection.
I drove to Canal Walk later that night, specifically for the reason of picking up my "urgent for Tuesday" specs.
There were two staff members at the desk, a woman on Facebook and a man having quite a loud, personal telephone conversation. I didn't mind, as the store was empty at the time, but the male did not lower his voice when I entered.
As the woman went to check if my specs were there, another Smith family walked in. Turned out that Smith's order was ready and mine was not. I was highly frustrated and angry; I had wasted petrol and time. A Manager was not on duty to speak to and no one has responded to the tweet I sent to Spec-Savers.
