Having joined Fedhealth, which I believed to be a reputable and dependable medical aid. Having upped my premiums for what I thought would be a better services I fully trusted and believed that I would be looked after. Today I was diagnosed with a stage 4 disease requiring immediate surgery. Before even calling my family I called Fedhealth to get emergency surgery authorization. Still shaken and in tears I was refused treatment and told that a MINIMUM 2 day authorization request period would apply after which I may OR may not be granted surgery. I went home crying, too afraid to tell my family that I did not have a hope in! I am so disappointed and feel so by Fedhealth. I am disgusted and worried and don't know where to turn to for help.
