As a Credit Controller I am responsible for collecting monies from Medical Aids on behalf of certain Medical Service Providers.
GEMS is no doubt the absolute worst Medical Aid to work with. I have had to phone their HR in the past as one was unable to speak to the correct department without waiting for at least a half hour or longer.
I have had the same experience again in the past week. I have called GEMS no less than 3 times and have never had my problems sorted in under 17 minutes. I have JUST got off the phone to GEMS today and recorded the call as being 25min 25sec long.
With a dozen other Medical Aids to call daily this actually represents a nightmare.
I challenge GEMS to run a "questionaire" for all the Companies in Bloemfontein who are working with them. I doubt that even ONE will have a satisfactory report-back.
Wonder how all the other provinces are coping?
(Oops! Just notice that GEMS is a "Company who doesn't respond") Now how come that is to be expected? With a million telephone calls in the bottleneck they wouldn't have time - now would they??
