On the 30th Septermber 2013 my father was admitted at Arwyp hospital with the suspicion that he might have Cancer on the liver, he was hospitalised for four days and discharged on the 4th Oct. He was again booked in on the 14 Oct for Biopsy procedure and was discharged the next day. He was informed that we will get the results in a weeks time. when we were supposed to receive the biopsy results, my father was called in on the 22 Oct to do blood tests. During this time nobody is explaining the need for blood tests and where the biopsy results are. and my father's condition is deteriorating & he's loosing weight. On the 30th Oct. somebody from Dr Roodt's office called to inform us that we must go to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Pretoria and we must take R950 as they do not accept medical aids, still no results from the tests and no reason for the referral to the hospital in Pretoria, when asked she said the doctor will call us on Monday (04 Nov) and he never did. He finally called on Thursday (7 Nov) sounding like he was in a hurry explaining in medical terms the reason for his referral. we are very disappointed & outraged about the disregard for lives by the hospital.
