End August/Start September 2013 I had to go t the emergency room for some stitches. I was very pleased with the doctor who attended to me as well as the nurse but now I am having problems with my account. The reception failed to capture the correct medical aid details and submitted the claim on my old medical aid number where I was still a dependant on my parents medical aid. Now they are billing me as a private patient. I phoned in twice. Once to the reception to correct the details and the other time to the accounts department. the reception just failed to give any feedback what so ever and the accounts department (Justinah Mankomba) asked me to send the updated details via email so that the necessary steps can be taken to correct the issue. However over the weekend I received a statement from the hospital as a private patient. I phoned the accounts deparment and spoke to Justinah Mankomba and she could not tell me if the matter has been taken up at head office. She also continued to tell me that I submitted the wrong info when I went to the emergency room! I THINK THE SERVICE IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! The account has been outstanding for a couple of days now and I refuse to pay until corrected
