Disgusted at dishonesty of nurses!

I am disgusted at the dishonesty of the nurses in the Maternity Ward. My daughter was born during the morning hours of December via emergency c-section. When I was wheeled out of surgery into a private room (asleep after having had anesthetics) the nurse on duty told my husband that the Maternity Ward is full so I will be in the private room for now, they will move me later when there's space. My husband said we didn't request it, by which the nurse responded not to worry they are aware of this. No follow-up was made regarding moving me into the general ward, no papers were signed saying I requested a private room. Now the Accounts department keeps calling me, asking to settle the account (no official statement sent, might I add) of the private room that I "requested" after having told them the nurse on duty was supposedly going to move me but never did. Upon the enquiry of the the Accounts department the nurses claim it was at patient's request which is a lie! There are procedures to be followed & paperwork to be filled out.zz I can't be held responsible for someone else's mistake who couldn't d their job, they should own up & have it subtracted off their salary, not pass the buck
