I sit with statements for the 7, 29th and 31st of Aug. I received my first statement on the 17th of Sept and this is still not sorted out.
Firstly, it was shown as private patient for the 7th of Aug, yet my medical aid details was on the last two treatment dates. Then I was asked to pay for an invoice that was already settled by the medical aid.
The medical aid short paid one of the invoices - which I have settled - Except Lancet plays it off against the first invoice which has still not been submitted to the medical aid.
Apparently the practise number was incorrect and I had to submit it to Lancet as they were too lazy, which I did. Now apparently they will be updating my statement and then I have to submit to the medical aid? Why do I need to submit it myself? in the meanwhile, they keep on asking for payment. I refuse to pay if they don't submit to the medical aid as it will never reflect on my medical aid tax statement.
Soon we will be missing the 3 month window of opportunity to submit to Discovery due to Lancet's incompetence.
