Discovery Health
Poor Sevice

On 16th September my wife had breast surgery to remove a malignant lump. This procedure was authorised under No.15287506 prior to her admittance to hospital. Subsequent to the procedure all the bills for this procedure were rejected as "Hospital Claims" and treated as "Day to day" benefits resulting in my Above Threshold Benefits being exhausted, leaving the hospital bills and doctors bills being unpaid and me having to pay cash for my medical expenses. Each time I inquire from Discovery I get the same answer that they are waiting for more information from the hospital or doctor. I have been assured by the hospital that all information that was required was sent. I even went to Discovery myself on 11th October to find out what the problem was. They confirmed that the information had been received and it would take between 3-5 days to review the original authorisation. To date the authorisation has not been reviewed and I cannot get a reason for this delay.
