MSC Starlight Cruises
Lost goods never returned

I travelled on their New Years cruise from Durban to Madagascar in 2012 / 2013.
On departing I forgot to pack my jewellery and store cards which were in a draw inside my cabin.
On inquiring at their lost property I was told that :
1) Unless accurately describing each and every item no items would be returned even though they were all found in that cabin. ( I duly described the wallet with the cards inside).
2) The staff at MSC Cruises' lost property in Durban said that nothing had been handed in.

The staff at MSC Cruises was not prepared to make any effort to either go into the cabin which perhaps was empty on the next cruise (namely from Durban to Cape Town), nor did they say they would investigate by either searching the cabin or asking the cleaning staff whether any items were found.

They basically wiped their hands of my predicament and said to contact the insurance department.
The cards are a huge inconvenience to replace and the jewellery unreplacable due to sentimental value.

I think this attitude by MSC Cruises is shocking!
