MSC Starlight Cruises
Misleading Advertising

On the 25 March I set off with my three grandchildren aged almost 18, 17 and 12. After numerous e-mails to the MSC Agent (which luckily I had taken on board with me) insisting I did not want "bunk beds" (she had well seen ages of children and which I had pointed out in several e-mails), added to the fact I had recently had a knee replacement - again which she was aware of and could not climb under or over andbeds/bunks she placed us in a cabin smaller than a cell I am sure. Four of us and all our luggage. After two nights of misery and constant visits to the Reception Desk (who kept saying "Durban had not replied") we were given another cabin by a very sympathetic Head of this Department. I still have in my possession the advert from which I took this cruise - there were no teas and pastries as advertised? There was no Captain's dinner (as advertised) - only Cocktail party (as advertised) - should have been both. The linen in the cabins was old and dreary - the blanket (one), had been washed umpteen times, thin and full of creases. Thin worn sheets. One pillow on each bed/bunk - no pillow protectors which resulted in pillows/cases smelling of previous passengers.
