Since I've joined Bonitas my medical expenses have sky rocketed. They are a mere R300-R500 cheaper on their monthly contributions than Discovery, however as they pay for the bare minimum my medical costs have increased by nearly R1000 per month and this is just your normal go to the GP for flu or going for routine blood tests (I received a lovely R2000 bill as they just don't pay at all... all these tests i have done previously through Discovery without paying a cent). I have asked them 2 months ago for a list of medication that is excluded (which by law they HAVE to supply) and I have yet to receive anything. Their brokers (Spesbona) are just as useless as you have to send them 50 mails before they might respond. I get directed from the one person to the other or their site (which is horrendous). Thus... stay far away from Bonitas except if you have R2100 for a monthly contribution and then an extra R1000 for all their "exclusions" a month that you can throw in the water.
