Submitting a claim to medical aid not follow up

My little girl was admitted in Moot Hospital very sick. Lancet did the tests requested by the dr's. It was a very bad time as she was very sick. After she was discharged from hospital Lancet submitted their acc. to my medical aid. We never recieved any word from them until last year when I got an sms telling me that I have been handed over to a debt collector and will be placed on a blacklist. I then contacted my med. aid. who told me Lancet submitted a acc. with the wrong ICD 10 codes. According to them Lancet did not submit it again they say it can show on Lancet side it was submitted but did not go through. Needless to say it is now a stale claim and my med. aid wont pay. Everybody at both sides tell me I have to proof that the acc. was submitted and Lancet say I have to proof it was not submitted. THIS IS THE WORST KIND OF THAT I EVER HEARD OF. Both sides just pull up their shoulders and tell me to pay with money I don't know where to get as in the meantime the company I worked for closed down in December. I would like to know what can be done and to tell other people to be very careful of Lancet and their medical aids. Please note that I was notified only in 2013 .
