Handing over to ITC without sending outstanding

Good day,

I find it very disturbing that you just hand over people to ITC without contacting the customer regarding the outstanding balance beforehand.

My husband received an sms from Lancet laboratories end of last week regading outstanding balance, telling us that the account is handed over.

I phoned Lancet laboratories on Friday last week and asked the lady to send me statement to settle and to make sure they withdraw the handover to ITC.

I never received the statement and to my amazement the amount was due from May 2012.

We never received statement, phone call or sms regarding any outstanding amount.

Today my husband got an sms from ITC regarding the debt.

So now I had to pay R267.67 because the debt was handed over.

I find it unacceptable to pay admin fee to your debt collectors because you do not send your outstanding invoices to your clients. You have mail addresses, postal addresses on file and you do not bother to tell us that we owe you money?

Please prove to me how you communicated the oustanding balance to us. Please send me the final statement and make sure you will refund me for the admin fee I had to pay today to ITC.
