Lancet
HANDED OVER TO ITC

On Thursday, 26 July 2013, I received a call from ITC, informing me that my account with Lancet has been handed over to them for debt collection. When I received a statement by e-mail on 29 July 2013, it did reflect my postal address and it turned out to be a statement of account in respect of tests done for my daughter for 2 December 2012. Before 26 July 2013, I had never received the statement by post, or any communication from Lancet in respect thereof. Usually, when receiving accounts from Lancet, they send me an sms and sometimes even call me telephonically. In this instance, nothing. They simply handed me over without the courtesy of calling me and enquiring about the account. I find this totally unacceptable - I could not pay an account of which I was not aware. A simple telephone call / sms would have sorted this out simply and quickly. I usually requested that all tests were to be done by Lancet, as my husband was employed there. I am very disappointed and will not choose to send any tests to them in future.
