My family and I have been struggling endlessly with Bonitas Medical scheme for years! I will not delve into the history now, however I want to bring up the recent issues which have happened as recently as right now, 30/9/2013 at 1pm. I am beneficiary 01 and my father pays R3500 per person per month for each of us on Boncomprehensive. Since July I have had to pay for my doctors consultation fees (GP) of - R500 which are stipulated as "unlimited" in the 2013 benefits booklet. Also, I have had to pay R400 for seeing my specialist, which I have seen once this year. I went to the dentist this morning and it has now been reported to me, by the Medicross dental department in Springs that I will suddenly have to pay the dental consultation fees, but Bonitas has given them permission to make a plate for my dental grinding, as the saving are "depleted" for the whole family. We also pay thousands every month as "co-payments" for chronic medication! So, now. I have one of a good question. Where does the R126 000 (one hundred and twenty six thousand rand) go that my father pays per year? Why are savings being used to pay other things, which are said to be unlimited?! where is $?
