6 days of noise and mostly bad service

I tried for a early check-in on 21/9 @ 12 and was told that no rooms are available. I waited in the bar until 2pm and went back to reception. Was told my room has been given to someone else and to wait 10min. The wait was 40mins! Asked for a breakfast box as I was running the ct marathon and leaving at 5am. was told to ask the night staff. asked them and was told to order room service but that only beings at 6.30am so i had to do without breakfast. There was hammering and drilling going on from Sunday. I complained to the manager on Wed as I was trying to work in my room and the noise was unbearable. I was told there's nothing he can do, he then offered to bribe me with wine and biltong which he said he would send up later. Nothing arrived! don't tell me you going to bribe me then don't sent anything. When I stayed there in April, the service was great but rooms were shocking. This time the new rooms are nice but service was shocking. The only good service I got was from the bar staff. Day and night they were great. I can't recall the names of the day staff but at night, Eric, Phillp and Riaz were very friendly and accommodating. 3rd visit to southern sun hotel this year & worst 1
